The Norwich Area Veterans Council is conducting a 75th Anniversary Memorial Program in memory of Ensign Longnecker and Ensign Kraus at the Preston Public Norwich, CT – Last week, the Board of Directors of Center for Hospice Care gave its approval for the Center to become part of Hartford HealthCare at Home effective April 1, 2019.

The organization held a “garden party” to celebrate the wonderful work that these trained Volunteers offer to patients and families. These special Volunteers freely give of their time by providing patient care, pet therapy visits, therapeutic massage, office support as well as bereavement How many Sailors can the Mudheads get on stage?

July 13th and 14th mark the weekend of the Mudhead Benefit Cup for Center for Hospice Care. As with any regatta, skippers need Sailing Instructions, so for the Skipper’s ‘meeting’ - guitars are required to get your scratch sheet.
Beverages will be available November is National Hospice Month. A month set aside to reflect on and increase awareness of the very special care that is available to anyone facing a life limiting illness. Center for Hospice Care will be teaming up with Norwich Youth and Family Services to provide the facilitator, Angela Rae Duhaime, M.A. The group will meet at Center for Hospice Care Administrative Offices and Community Bereavement Center at 227 Dunham Street and be offered free of charge, but pre-registration is required. It Norwich, CT – Center for Hospice Care is excited to welcome Dr. Vanessa Johnson, MD, MPH as its new Medical Director for its Hospice and Palliative care program. Dr. Johnson is board certified in Hospice/Palliative Medicine, Hematology, Oncology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Johnson received her medical degree from the Cornell University Medical College in New York, NY, and completed her Hematology, Oncology fellowship at Brown Medical School in Providence, RI.
An Oncologist since 2002, Dr. Johnson is Norwich, CT – On Friday, March 24th, Center for Hospice Care received a generous contribution in the amount of $22,000 from Reynolds’ Subaru of Lyme. Reynolds’ Subaru selected Center for Hospice Care as its Hometown Charity for the 2016 Subaru Share the Love Campaign. For every new Subaru that was sold from November 17th-December 31, 2016, customers could select one of four national charities or Center for Hospice Care as the recipient of a $250 donation.
